Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

A non-profit organization created to enrich our children's educational experience.


The funds raised by the Millbrook CSD PTO support enrichment programs and items at all schools that are not within the school budget. For example, author visits, sports equipment, field trips and other "extras" that are in fact, essentials in providing each child with a valuable and in-depth learning experience, and are made possible each year with PTO funding.


The PTO is comprised of parents, teachers and school administrators, The P for "parent" comes first in PTO. Parents can support the PTO in many ways. If you haven't already, please join us. The time commitment is small, but your ideas and input have a large impact on your child's education. We would like to ask that each family support the PTO by contributing via a Family Membership. You can also purchase a raffle ticket. Please see the Membership form below for details. Children love to see their parents and guardians participate in school functions. Please see the Parent Volunteer Sheet below. You can volunteer to help with one of our fund-raising events. Please, feel free to contact any of the PTO board members listed below for more information.

You’re Invited!

THE FIRST PUBLIC MEETING OF THE SCHOOL YEAR

Wed. Sept. 20th @ 7:30 p.m. Alden Place Library

Join the MCSD PTO Board at our first public meeting
as we kick off the school year. See what we have planned for 2017-2018 and how
you can help us to reach our goals. Learn about volunteer opportunities in our
schools and more. Don’t be a bystander. Get in on the action!

The PTO is in need of a High School VP and a recording secretary for next year. Please consider volunteering!!! Please contact Kirsten Rappleyea at 845-264-4792 if you are interested. 

The following Bylaw changes were adopted at the June 12, 2017 meeting:

Article III, Membership and Dues

Shall read: "Each member of the PTO must pay annual dues of $25.00 for a family membership."

Article IV, Officers

Section 5: Term of Office

Shall read: "The term of office for all officers is three years, beginning August 1 and ending July 31 of the following year. Officers may serve no more than two consecutive terms in the same office unless no person is nominated to fill that office."

Article V, Meetings

Section I: General PTO Meetings

"An email or flyer will be sent to parents/guardians at least one week prior to a scheduled PTO meeting.
